Bah, Blog-Glögg!

Taking inspiration from this Glühweinstiefel that the good Reverend kindly shared with me this week, I'm taking off tomorrow for a visit to the Heidelberger Weihnachtsmarkt (and don't ask me why there's an F1 on that page) with the ever-lively Sebastian, thence to Madrid, where apparently the newly extended bullfighting season has pushed Christmas into mid-January. I'm not sure I believe it, but it's a gamble I'm willing to take — anything to escape the incessant caroling of the basement lab rats.

I like hot tea and buttered toast.

Since I don't understand this post, I'm just going to offer random opinions.

I wish Dilf enjoyed old movies as much as I do.

My mom's crazy.

A Gluhweinstiefl is a ceramic boot in which the delightful hot spiced wine is drunk from (see me in about 2 hrs from now.)

The Christkindlmarkt in Chicago is the coolest little Christmas festival ever. The one in Heidelberg should be even better!

(Still not talking to you, yet)

You're not talking to Übermilf (very satisfying to type those Umlaut characters with one keystroke on a German keyboard, I must say) yet? Did I miss out on a scandalous incident at the Hillbilly Tapas soiree? Do tell!

Dilf and I were unable to attend due to a snowstorm.

I wasn't happy about it. I'm stuck with two boxes of twinkies and a bucket of Cool Whip. I missed all the fun.

But we only had a babysitter til 11 p.m.! The roads were... the visibility was...

I'm very, very sorry.

This is all YOUR fault, Sardonic! You and your evil weather machine!

You were jealous, jealous!

we stopped in Heidelberg while motorcycling to and from the Black Forest, and it was just so loverly. I'm jealous of drinking glög in that there setting! Although we didn't see a single over-sized printer...go figure

Actually, the Heidelberg Print Media Academy is shaped like a giant over-sized printer; lookee here. I'm thinking you guys had better things to do than tour the printer factory anyway...
